Wesley is pleased to offer a Before & After School Program (B/ASP) to its enrolled students. As director of B/ASP, my mission is to provide a fun, safe environment for your child in the program during the school year. I really enjoy getting the chance to know more of the wonderful students here at Wesley.

Every child attending Wesley's B/ASP must have a current B/ASP registration form on file at the school. It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to keep all information current.
B/ASP IS A PREPAID PROGRAM. TUITION IS THREE DOLLARS ($3) BEFORE SCHOOL AND TWELVE DOLLARS ($12) AFTER SCHOOL EACH DAY WITH A NON-REFUNDABLE ANNUAL REGISTRATION FEE OF $15 PER CHILD. PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED PRIOR TO ATTENDANCE. IF YOUR ACCOUNT FALLS BEHIND IN THE AMOUNT OF $36.00, YOUR CHILD WILL BE PLACED ON A NO STAY LIST FOR B/ASP. IF, ON THE THIRD DAY, WE HAVE NO PAYMENT, YOU WILL RECEIVE A CALL FROM ME. THIS WILL GIVE YOU TIME TO MAKE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS FOR YOUR CHILD’S BEFORE/AFTER SCHOOL CARE.
Wesley policies in the student handbook apply to B/ASP and must be followed.
The hours of the program are from the end of the school day to 6:30 pm all days that school is in session. If your child gets picked up after 3:30 for PYP or 4:00 for MYP, the account will be charged for that day.
Enclose all B/ASP payments, money orders or checks, in the B/ASP payment envelope and drop the payment in the school’s drop box. B/ASP checks must be made payable to Wesley or WIA. Do not include other school money, such as lunch, PTA, or field trips. Change will not be given. Any money over the exact amount will be credited to the student’s B/ASP account.
You must request B/ASP refunds in writing and they must be received by the last week of school. If your bank returns a check unpaid, the check will be charged back to your child’s B/ASP account as well as a $25.00 returned check fee. If the returned check causes the B/ASP account to become delinquent, you will have three (3) days from the date you were notified by the school to bring the account current. Failure to pay within this time will result in your child being withdrawn from B/ASP. If one check is returned, only money order payments will be accepted for the remainder of the school year.
Anytime there is a change in your child’s B/ASP attendance, written notification is required stating necessary change.
A late fee of one dollar ($1) per child will be charged for every minute past 6:30 p.m. according to the desk clock. YOUR CHILD WILL BE WITHDRAWN FROM THE PROGRAM AFTER THE THIRD LATE PICKUP.
Only people designated on the registration form will be allowed to pick up your child. We cannot accept any phone call that someone who is not on your authorized pickup list will be coming to pick up your child. This is for your child’s safety! We realize that traffic and emergencies arise, making it impossible for you to get to Wesley before 6:30 pm, so please make sure you have someone you can call on your authorized pickup list, and they know to bring a picture identification. If you want someone who is not on your list to pick up your child, you need to send a signed note and a copy of your drivers license in the morning with your child and instruct him or her to give it to the teacher when they arrive to school.
Wesley has a playground that we use during B/ASP. When the weather permits, your child will have a chance to enjoy some outside playtime while here.
General rules are set by Wesley. The rules for the school day apply during the B/ASP program as well. Please keep in mind that rules are established to ensure the safety of all children who stay in the B/ASP program. Fighting and disrespect will NOT be tolerated in the program. If specific rules are broken, Imagine Wesley has a “write-up” policy that will be issued to the student. After three (3) “write-ups”, your child will be withdrawn from the program.
I understand the need for children to have time to complete homework. All students will have time each day to work on their homework. For your child to properly complete his or her homework, the proper materials are needed. Please supply your child with the basic materials (pencil, paper, etc.). Sometimes your child may not have homework, or not enough of it to keep him or her busy for the time allotted. Please make sure your child has a book that he or she can read.
Students are asked to show respect for others at all times. Please remind your child that it is their responsibility to be respectful towards adults, students, themselves, and the school.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES THAT B/ASP SHOULD BE AWARE OF.
Thank you for your cooperation!
